I wish we could have fixed your computer instead of breaking it, but maybe that is a good thing! We sent you a new (older) computer to help fix the connection issue but Jessa is working on getting Google to donate a nice new laptop for you guys. I really enjoyed hearing your ideas about our global environmental issues and ways that we can overcome them. Feel free to share your thoughts on this website:)

On this trip the crew went to their marine monitoring stations in the South Sound and Hood Canal. They took the analyzers to 5000 ft, against the Olympic Mountains to see if the concentrations differed much from ground level. Just a few elevated spots (red) observed on the return flight and later in the afternoon. Each dot you see in the picture represents 10 second averages. Both instruments are working great. See you in Denver. less

jamal J commented on jamal J's blog entry: we can address the issue and inform our communities, then address it to our government to come up with a program to help reduce air pollution.
In the United States some states make it mandatory to recycle. When you take out your trash you have to seperate it into two different cans. Garbage and recycling. One state where i lived that does that is Washington. I think it should be like this e...

Thanks for count on Puerto Rico's clarity data. My students are happy to see that. We are now on the last week of school, so for the next school year we have a lot of work (August 2012). I am proposed them to prepare an investigation with the project that you prepared. In the next science fair (march 2013) we are going to present the results. I will gather more students for the project with the new 9th graders.

It's wonderful to have those data from your students to look at. Maybe you would post your final results as a graph on your group page, so that others can look at it. I know you have quite a bit of data at this point, so it would be great to see it all in one graph! Thanks for all that you do with the project!

Every living creature needs energy to survive. We need to conserve the energy that we have so that we can rely less on foreign imports and more on our natural resources.
Hi Jessa, Sorry for the delay in replying. I followed the instructions without success. Our IT guy has looked at it and says the fault must be on the printed circuit board. Where do we go from here? Regards Kaye

Inspiring blog, Tabatha! I agree completely and promise to do my part to fix it.
Any waste tossed in rivers lakes and oceans causes more direct damage to aquatic life, but through evaporation can cause long term damage, such as acid rain or sulfer build up from decomposition, due to the dying fish.

River G commented on adriana ontiveros's blog entry: this is very good research, with all the nonrenewable energy sources you are talking about how can we help make recycling a habit so that we may keep our nonrenewable sources?
car pollution makes up 34% of both VOC (volatile organic compounds) and the nitrogenoxide that are in the evioronment both of these pollutants contribute to the productions of smog and have an effect on plants and the respiratory system.

saving energy aint that hard its preety easy u just gota turn of all the lights and just lay on ur bed and wait for the sun to come out thats how u save energy u dont need energy only at night not at the morning.
air pollution is a virus in the sky that makes pepole sick and its preety hard to stop it because it kills you slowly and you canot see it scintest say that its unstopable and you die automaticly

Some items,eg plastic, take many years to biodegrade, if they do in any way. Without recycling, these products fill up our landfills, taking much wanted space and making it uninhabitable. Recycling not only saves natural resources, but it also saves energy. Recycling only 1 can will save the equivalent quantity of energy as that which is wanted to light a 100-watt bulb for over 3 hours!

By minimizing the energy spent on industrial production, recycling also helps in reducing greenhouse gas emission. The processing of fresh raw materials also creates toxic materials which pollute the environment. By reducing the energy used, recycling also minimizes the amount of fuel usage which in turn reduces the amount of harmful pollutants in the environment.proper recycling can help us preserve our natural resources for our future generation and maintain the balance in nature.
